DIY Doraemon Birthday Party for my Kenshi

It requires hard work, creativity and resourcefulness when you are planning to hold a DIY birthday party for your little one! However, at the end of the party, you would feel proud of yourself because you prepared everything with love! Let me share you some pictures.

Been to many stores just to look for Doraemon party supplies. Luckily, I found these Doraemon party hats at very cheap price!

I wanted to purchase customized birthday cakes and cupcakes from a known Cake store. However, it was so expensive for me. We only have a limited budget and I needed to stick on that. Luckily, I found my previous co-worker's facebook posting pictures of her homemade cakes. I asked her if she could make mine at an affordable price. I paid half the price of the known cake shops. Happy!

As I mentioned earlier, I had been to various shops to find Doraemon goods. Since this character is very rare, I failed to find Doraemon party bags. So, what I did, I bought brown paper bags and printed Doraemon character in it! A DIY loot bags! It is unique!

The one who made the cake could not customized the cupcakes so I asked my youngest sister to make a DIY party poppers for the cupcakes! And it was cute!

This is my little boy, Kenshi. :)

This is  the happy face of Doraemon.

It is a picnic themed party. I bought small baskets and put some candies on it.I displayed Kenshi's bath tub and place his toys in there. I purchases Doraemon special balloons. It is quite expensive so I just bought a few for decoration puproses. I also made my own banderitas. I got a lot of origami papers so I used some of it. My sister sponsored the balloons.

The part that I regret is that I did not make a program. As a result, we did not have a lot of organized activities. We did have games and prizes but I failed to prepare the showing of Kenshi's baby pictures. Anyway, there is always next time.

I am so happy and satisfied. I thank my husband, family and friends who helped me to make this happen. I also thank my guests for coming and for the gifts they had brought.

It was a wonderful party to remember.

"I AM OFFICIALLY A MOM!"

It has been awhile that I have not written any post in this blog. I have always wanted to write as many post as I can but due to my hectic lifestyle I just could not make it. Moreover, I sometimes run out of words to say or just become lazy to scribble down.

Anyway, this blog is all about being a new mom. I know it's too late to post this but let me brush up my memory. he he he It was almost 1:00 am when I felt pain in my hips. I was being told that this was one of the common first signs of labor. So, I asked my husband that I wanted to go to the hospital since I was already one day late from my expected date of labor. We took a taxi and headed to the emergency section. They checked my condition and said it was not so close yet. They asked me to go back home but I declined because of the pain. Anything can happen unexpectedly so I thought it would be safe if I would just stay in the hospital.

I was praying hard that I may have a smooth natural labor. However, it didn't happen that way. Around 6am, I was rushed to the operating room. The doctor told me I needed a C-section which I didn't anticipated because I tried hard to go on a diet and exercise just to give birth naturally. But what can I say? Doctors are professionals. I should trust them.

Finally, I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. But he was very small. He weighed about 2300 grams. I should have pushed him out! I was a little bit depressed and disappointed because I hate C-section. It was painful and it will leave an ugly scar in my stomach. Unfortunately, I saw my baby for few seconds only in the operating room because I was dizzy and sleepy. When I heard his first cry, I was in the seventh heaven. I couldn't believe that I am officially a mother!

I was confined only for three days and went home with my LO. He was so tiny and cute. He looked alike his father. I always stared at him. I was very happy then. I know that I wouldn't be alone anymore whenever my husband goes out. I have a cute little angel that would eliminate my stress away.

Now, I understand how it feels to be a mom. And I am very grateful that God gave me this opportunity. I feel so complete now!

Thank you for reading!
